What is Royalty-Free Music?  Royalties are payments made to an individual or company for the use of an asset, in this case it’s music.  A good example of royalties is when a musician is paid when their original song is played on the radio, on television, recorded by another artist, used in a commercial or video, or in a restaurant or bar.  So basically, the owners of songs are paid when others use their music every time it is played or used.  Free is free to use as much as you want for whatever you want.

Royalty-Free music isn’t free music.  A one-time fee is paid by someone who wants to use a musician’s song or product only one time.  The user buys a License to use the music in a way that the music owner lays out in the License.  

Here is what you CAN do with our License:  You need to make something new with this music in the background.

• Enjoy the music and use it in a positive light
• Use the music as long as you like.
• Use the music as a background to multimedia projects, video or audio.
• Play the music during an online or in person class where you are doing an activity over the music
• You can use the music for as many of your projects as you want to.
• You can play the music in a retail space, yoga studio and other public venues.
• You can monetize, distribute, stream and sell your project as long as it is distinctly different from the original music.
• You can change the length of music where it starts and ends for use in the background of your project.

Here is what you CAN NOT do with our music, please.

• Share or distribute the music as if it were your own
• Share, stream  or repost the music in its original form in a collection, video, app or other online service.  
• Submit our music as your own to content identification and publication services like Content ID or ASCAP. 
• Pretend that it is your original work in any way.  

We try to make our music affordable for other creatives to buy a license.  We also have a few free tracks If you just want some great music to use.
